just to be sure: Upgraded from PD 14 to 15.
Can i uninstall PD 14 after installing PD 15 without loosing anything?
Can i run PD 14 on one laptop and PD 15 in another laptop?

(i am new to PD - been using Pinnacle, but thought I'd try something new.)

This is what the CL support confirmed me today....

just have to test to be sure ! I7 950, 10 Go Ram, GTX960, SSD 256, HD 2 To, with professional music devices.
PD 14 since dec 2015.

Play it safe and make a full backup before deleting 14. In the past I have always deleted the old version w/o any ill effects.



However they can run peacefully side by side.

If you upgraded from PD14 to PD15, as you said, you no longer have PD14. If you bought the full version of PD15, you have both and can uninstall PD14 and run it on a different computer. If you upgraded, but want to keep both, you can return the upgrade within 30 days and purchase the full version. (I did this from PD12 to PD14, when I realized I would lose the earlier version if I upgraded).

Be sure (as mentioned above) to keep all of your executable installation files as well as the license keys. The downloads will disappear after a certain length of time and cannot be retrieved. Regards,

I think i am little confused. I purchased PD 14 some time ago (havent used it much, but its installed). Then i purchased PD 15 (clicked upgrade on the web side). The apps are in separated folders and are about the same size - 5-6 GB. With two diffferent serialnr.

In my head i have two full versions of the app? Beacause when i upgrade all other programs/apps i have (2D and 3D animation, photoeditor, videoeditor etc) i get a full version of the new release. I uninstall the old version and can then reinstall it on my second laptop (used when i am travelling)if i want. (Luckily i can use some of new apps/versions in two laptops). I am uninstalling PD 14, but i am not planning to reinstall it on a second laptop, but i wonder if it would work if i did reinstall it?

Have always believed that upgradeprice is a discount for existing customers/users of the program?
When you say that i no longer have PD14 since i upgraded to PD15 i assume you mean this metaphorically which makes sense when you think about what the word "upgrade" means (modernize and improve). Not necessarily a new / full version.

Any info on the newly included Titler Pro 1.5? In the past, we've received Titler Pro1. Some of us updated to Titler Pro 4, which, sadly, does not work as a plugin. Contacted both companies several times, but no relevant info received. Now I wonder, if the plugin API was adapted for just the old 1.5 to work freely, or will it enable even Titler Pro 4 to work? Anyone?

All I know is that when I installed the upgrade from PD12 to PD14, PD12 was no longer on my pc. Perhaps that was because I skipped PD13? If you upgraded and still have both PD14 and 15, congratulations!



P.S. You can only run one version of PD at a time on a single computer. You'll get a message to close one if you try to run another simultaneously. Regards,

As long as you have the original downloaded .exe files to install PD14 and the license key, you can uninstall it on your present computer and install it on another. Since you upgraded from PD14 to PD15, though, I assume you don't have the installation files for PD15, just the upgrade files. Therefore if you ever want to move PD15 to another computer, you'll first have to install PD14 there and then upgrade. (I'm assuming the installation and upgrade files are different animals, as they were when I was going from PD12 to PD14). Regards,

It is my understanding that they are entire program files, including the updates fixes.

I too would like to know more about the capabilities of NewBlue Titler 1.5. I have Titler 4 and I'm hoping/dreaming there's going to be a method to import titles created in 2, 3 or 4. I bought Magix MovieEditPro 2016 recently to get Mercalli 4 they were including free and I recall the advertisement also mentioning that NBTitler Express is excusive to Magix. It seems identical to NewBlue Titler 1.0 as far as I can tell.

If anyone gets a chance to try out Titler 1.5 and post their observations I'd be very appreciative. I upgraded to PhotoDirector 7 the day before 8 dropped this week. Minor burn.

PowerDirector 15 is infected with Pua.Gen virus. The virus was detected by Webroot and Facebook. The Facebook removed the virus. Pua.Gen viruses often destroy data and steal personal information. I guess that the virus was in 2_CyberLink_PowerDirector_ContentPack_Essential_PCP160714-011.exe file because this file was downloading very slowly. Alas, this is not the first, or the last version of PowerDirector that is infected with a virus.

Pua.Gen is not a viruse per se. It is a potentially unwanted program that may contain ads or other. I bet it is in one of the links you have in your browser. I'm not arguing, I just think it is not in the download. I have never has any viruses in downloads from Vyberlink for all the years I've used it. .
