Okay, So i recently had restart my computer's hard drive because of a virus i had gotten. (Even in the command prompt, using "systeminfo", It says it was first opened when i reset it, which is wrong). Anyways, I had cyberlink on this computer before, but since that version of my OS is now gone from the hard drive, i need to reinstall it. So i did.... but when i openned it up to put in my CD-Key for Power Director, it said to put in a valid number. I've done it countless times in different ways, without caps, with caps, shift, shift at certain times, but its never right. This code is what is written onto the disk so theres no reason it shouldnt work. And since my regeistration key was on my last computer hard drive, It's not in regedit.exe either. So what do i do? do you guys need to see the code? I have no idea.

Is the Powerdirector 13 a Upgrade version?

Is is an OEM version? I.E. installed on the original computer OS.

If an upgrade you need the previous Powerdirector CD key. Or the previous PD installed on the computer. If a OEM version, it may be dependent on the OS.

Just guessing.

Nope its not an upgrade. I got it for my birthday, and these CDs have AudioDirector and PowerDirector 13 Ultimate. The Audio Director one has "(Download Version)" next to it. So its not a upgrade. Once my computer was new again, I put in the cd's and installed them off of there. So these should be brand new installs.

If your version of PD13 came on discs you should be able to install it without a problem.

I would try uninstalling the PD13 Ultimate again, and then uninstall The Audio Director that you have tried to install earlier so there is nothing PDlike on your drive. Do not attempt to install Audio Director yet. If by chance you have the Ultimate Suite, make sure you install disc 1 first. If you only have one disc install it, and make sure you use the key that came on the CD sleeve. It should have 16 characters. All the alphas are UPPER CASE.

If this works, your Audio Director "download version" is the problem, and you'll need to take further advice on the action to take for that Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Ill try that. Thanks ShadowMan...... I just hope I don't see you in my nightmares! (Love your name, dude! XD)

Also, the key you say that should be on sleeve? All i have are these paper sleeves and they're blank. I have no trace of the box or manuals or anyhting, just the disks. The disks have apperently 2 codes on each one though? and each one fits a product keyentry and is over 16 characters...

I have just checked my single disc version of PD 10 and that key has 30 characters in streams of 5. Again all the Alpha characters are upper case.

Are the numbers on your discs in groups separated by a - The configuration should match the format on the installation screen when you are asked to enter the key.

Next thing to do is check ALL your CD envelopes and see if one of them has been used for something else. It's easy done. Look for one with a code on it that doesn't match its content. Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

I can see if i can find that sleeve. And yes, my codes on the Disc will fit the format as well, but its not accepting them. and both codes (2 on each disc [/_/2]) are seperated by a space, with each code having "-"sperating each input.

I'm no expert, but I would have thought that product keys on the discs would make life difficult as you need to read the characters when the disc is in your machine for installation.

Surely you are not expected to write the code down first. A little pointless me thinks. Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Well... You're right but wrong at the same time.... I have two discs from Cyberlink, 1/2, and 2/2. And included in the picture below is what they look like in the sleeve compared to what I think is the sleeve you're talking about. All the text on both discs are the EXACT same, except for the _/2 at the bottom.

Oh, and this is the closest thing i could find to that sleeve. It kinda makes me laugh a little bit, I don't know why.

And i do understand that these images have the codes still... but i did not publicly post them. They're safe.

I suggest you contact the person you received the gift from and as they're downloaded version, you may get more info from them. I zoomed in on the serials displayed on the disks. I don't recognize either (they're the same) as an activation key for PDR13. Looked more like a jumble run of key data.

It is not a sensible action to post your activation keys on a forum, the links would/should/have to be removed!

I'm inclined to close this thread as no one here can assist you further.

Best of luck,

Dafydd
