Yes, I logged-off right after my post as the wife "moved-in" for her turn on Face Book.
As for the DVD-DL. What I use is Verbatim DVD+R DL with a matte finish so I can burn labels directly on the disc. Stopped using paper labels a few years back.
As for the playback, we have 2 DVD/CD players in the house. 1 is an older Sony (at lest 15 years old) that occasionally will stop playing and freeze. I guess I need to get a cleaner disc and see if that will stop it. The other is a Toshiba DVD/CD player and recorder. I have no problems playing DL discs on either one. In my vehicle, I have a CD/DVD player with 8" screen and no problem playing DL discs there. Really nice when your just sitting waiting for whatever, throw a DVD in and watch the video. Have a screen in the back also. Also, when we went to Laos for my mother-in-law's funeral, we had a professional videographer and he recorded 2 DVD DL discs (PAL) and they play perfectly also. Not sure what player you have, but I don't see why you can't play them on it.
Well, here it is, 7:43 P.M., PST (about 2:44 P.M. Sunday your time), and it is time for me to sign-off and turn it over to the wife.
Hey, do you suppose it might be a good idea to do our "chit-chats" via personal messages rather than these forums? Just wondering whether CL might be displeased.
That being said, Back At You - Cheers and a Very Happy New Year. Hopefully it will be better than 2015.
Jack
