Hi guys,

Im a gaming youtuber who creates lets play videos. I have been struggling with an issue for a few months now and i have no idea how to fix it. I have the latest updates to PD13, a Radeon 7950 GPU with the latest Catalyst Control Centre and drivers, and a Intel core i5 4690K CPU.

Bascially i am unable to use hardware encoding when producing videos in PD13, does anyone know why this is? Instead of 15 mins or so to create a video, my pc is only using the CPU and taking about 50 mins per video. In preferences i have set all the relevant options to use OPEN CL and hardware encode decode etc, but when it comes time to produce i am not able to use any hardware GPU assisted encoding.

Contacting customer support has led them to tell me to enable the options in preferences which i have done and makes no difference.

Please help its driving me nuts!

I think Cyberlink need to do update to support the new Catalyst.

On the site AMD had option to download Catalyst previous version, now sought and not found.

This is a known issue with the latest Catalyst drivers. See this *thread* - although from Playsound's above post it looks like the previous driver may no longer be on the website.

Hey thanks for the replies, so i tried to fix the issue by installing catalyst driver 14.12 but this has not fixed the issue and has in fact removed the option in preferences to enable hardware decoding under the hardware acceleration section....please help!

I don't have an AMD card so I can't offer any more assistance.

Did you read the other thread? It seems that there are some specific steps that the other users did that solved their problem, and I think you'd get more help (if needed) if you posted over there.

Você precisa desinstalar amd-catalisador-15.7.1 e só então instalar amd-catalisador omega-14:. 12
em outro post que você tem mais informações de como fazer

Install, amd-catalyst-omega-14:12, the process is normal, but it does not remove the amd-catalyst-15.7.1

You need to use the old version of the Uninstall option.

I'm surprised you're giving up so easily, but we're all volunteers here and aren't connected with Cyberlink. You'll need to contact them for any purchase or refund issues.
