Joe - from the photos I've tested with "Detect Faces" selected in
Motion &
Highlight slideshow templates, it makes no observable difference... and particularly with traditional format static group wedding shots.
Barry & Zootles - maybe you're thinking of
face recognition, as in PhD's face tagging. This is just "
detection", as in notices there are faces.
Zootles - I agree with you about the extreme motion. You can make it more subtle by customising the motion path for each photo... and
THAT'S why I prefer
PlaySound's approach to making motion slideshows containing lots of photos. It's so much easier!
Select a bunch of photos (say every 3rd or 4th one). Go to Magic Motion & set a nice slow, subtle motion. OK. Next, repeat for a different group of photos with a slightly different motion path (but still slow & subtle). Keep going till motion is applied to every photo. Drop in transitions and you're done. Apply to all is easy, but results in a dead boring slideshow with exactly the same motion repeated 230 times.
Cheers - Tony
