I think I know what you're talking about.
You have a bunch of clips in place and then you make an edit like trimming a clip and somehow the downstream clips break at a crossfade (or maybe even overlap) transition. So you end up with all the clips before that point moving to the correct locations but the clips at (and after) the affected transition all stay in their orginal locations. When you preview or produce, you see the leading clip going black at the affected transition because the two clips have been pulled apart. Is that it?
I just noticed this the other day, and I deleted the affected transition then highlighted everything to the right of that area. I then moved those clips back to the correct position and replaced the transition. I didn't know that closing then reponing PD might fix it.
This occurred for me with the latest version (2907.1) but I don't yet know if this issue has always been present or if it only showed up as part of the latest patch. Are you using the latest version or 2604?
I think it would be very helpful if you saw that you were able to repeat the problem by making a certain kind of edit, or if the problem always happened with a specific transition. That would give the engineers at CL a big head start in identifying and correcting the problem.
