Text not in the correct position in final video production

I am using Power Director 13.

My computer is an HP Pavilion dv6 notebook;Windows Home Premium 64 bit; AMD A8-3520m APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.60 GHz; 6 GB RAM

I have videos using lower thirds with text. I edit the videos with the text being placed in the correct position on the lower third and then saved. The video plays back correctly in the project window.

But when I produce the video the text is out of line. In the final video creation the text is 3 or 4 clicks above where it is suppose to be.

Below is a link to my Dropbox file. Its an .Mp4 screen capture of this issue recreated for you to see.

Thank you in advance for your help. It is sincerely appreciated.

Hi papascoot,

Thank you for the video - it clearly shows the issue. Please update* to 2604 and recheck. I have tried to replicate your issue and cant.
*I'm guessing you have an earlier version of PDR13.

I was very excited because you seemed so sure of the problem/solution. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly Dafydd but that solution did not work.

I downloaded the 2604 patch a and produced the video again. It is still doing the same thing.

Please help sir. I just started a business where I customized motivational Facebook video posts for people and I really really really need to solve this ASAP. Thank you again, I am looking forward to your assistance. Or anyone else.

I can't be certain, but I notice your text is in a video track. Try placing it in the purpose text track and see if that makes a difference Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Now I notice that only two of your clips had finished as shadow files. Strange things happen if you edit before they are all finished.

Try again with them ALL green - Then edit Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Shadowman, thank you for trying to help me.

I am sorry. I am not sure exactly what you mean. I am new to PD and that was kinda Greek to me. LOL

Can you explain that in just a little more detail as to what you mean?

Shadow files are designed to be of a lower resolution than the ones you are working with. This is to make it easier for PD to handle them. When the file is rendered, PD recreates files of the original size.

I know that you have shadow files enabled because there is little green flag on the clips. It is possible by using shadow files that haven't completed you may be using several reosolutions in one area. and just maybe that is causing the problem.

I suggest you disable shadow files (unless you are editing 4K in which case they are essential) Go to EDIT - PREFERENCES - GENERAL - untick "enable HD video processing". When this is done you will no longer see a yellow or green flag on your library clips

Now try your project again it may work.

Good luck

Well done "The Shadowman", shadow files do throw up some really strange events, looks like this is another to add to the leaky sponge.
