How to merge on PD project with another?

I have two pd projects. In both the video has been editing and timelines created with subtitles etc. I would like to merge the two together while retaining the seperate clips and timelines. Is there a way to do this or do I need to add the two mpg files to one pd project and start over.

Thanks

yes, you are correct. However that post didn't help as there isn't a solution to merging two PD files and keeping the chapter definitions intact.

Seems like that would be a required feature.

thanks

I think the post does help you a lot. It tells you that the ability to merge two pds files in PD7 is not available so an alternate approach needs to be considered. If you produce both pds files and bring the produced files back into PD7 all your subtitles and editing are in the produced mpg. Yes you do need to simply click to add chapter’s points but that's rather easy and not that time consuming. Many video editing projects actually benefit from this approach. Make small clips of various sections of your master video concept and then assemble all the clips in a composite work piece.
