Suggestion for a useful feature in the next version

As far as I can see, the only shortfall in PowerDirector 12 is the lack of smoothing (or sometimes called 'easing' in other software) that permits an object (pip or text or whatever) to slow down before stopping at a moved-to position on screen. Likewise an acceleration from rest as it moves to the new location would be very pleasing. As it stands at present, one can move an object using keyframes to a new position but the suddenness of the start of movement and the suddenness of the stop at the end of the movement is much less artistically pleasing than having control of the acceleration and deceleration of the moving object.
If an 'acceleration / deceleration control could be provided, it need only apply to the Motion control.
I do hope someone at Cyberlink seriously considers my suggestion because I'm sure having such an additional control of motion would greatly improve an already excellent product to one I and many others would rightfully term 'perfect'
Regards to all!

I echo "John_the_designer's" main point here:

It's a missing tool/function/option that has oft been asked for in creating smooth speed/motion paths. Yet still not addressed or implemented.

Well, if we all ask long enough then perhaps it might come about - hopefully

When I needed easing on a PowerDirect 11 project, I wrote an Excel spreadsheet that calculates the frame locations and parameters for easing using keyframes. It works for all the keyframe parameters. Had to create a separate sheet to deal with zooming. The sheets use smoothstep.

Drop me a pm if you want a copy to look at.

I think the best way to get Cyberlinks Attention of a feature for Powerdirector is to write Support Tickets. The more times a feature is requested, the more likey the developers will pay attention.

Cyberlink does not read this forum unless our moderator points out something to Cyberlink. He has made it known about the Suggestions in the PD 13 forum.
