PowerDVD 14 not enough disk space

I purchased the upgrade version of PowerDVD 14 Pro. When I try to install is from either the download or the DVD I get a popup saying I don't have enough disk space. I have 6TB in a RAID 0 array with 2.5TB free. there is no way this program requires that much space. can someone tell me what is causing it and how to fix it. HP has been zero help.

that's wierd. actually sounds like a more serious issue. raid is handled not even by windows. windows uses it as a simple drive and the software should be in relation to what windows says. i.e. seems your raid is possibly faulty. i have raid 0 and it works

I'm actually having a very similar issue. I just built an HTPC and was looking for a decent Bluray player, so I downloaded the latest trial version of PowerDVD. When I launched the installer and it downloaded the software, I left both default installation settings as they were, and when I tried to continue, an error popped up saying there wasn't enough disk space and to try installing on a different disk. I had just finished a fresh install of Win 8.1 on an empty 4 TB drive. 4GB of ram and an A8-5500 AMD APU.

I'm having the same exact issue. I'm not using raid though I'm just using a regular hard drive with 2.5 Terabytes free of disk space. Support hasn't gotten back to me yet though and I submitted a ticket last night. I don't know if it will help them but I attached a DxDiag to this.

I have had tremendous issues loading Director suite 3- legally copy- all cyberlink could say is send proof of purchase. No help at all. I had Power DVD installed as came with my new LG Blu Ray Player -Which seems stupid if Power DVD 10 does not handle Blu Ray. So bought Power DVD14.
To my disgust can not load it. ON A NEW 3TB HDD. As others have commented nothing to do with Raid or size of your hard drive. It is a serious problem for many. Same message Not enough disk space to load try another drive.?. As the default on my Win 7 64 bit C drive is X86 .Same Message not enough space. Made new C drive dedicated folder. Shock horror same massage what ever I do or file created SAME MESSAGE.Not enogh disk space on my new 3TB HDD. So it is empty except for win7 64bit and Director suite 3 and start up programs.
This is pretty appalling cyberlink release Power DVD 14 with this kind of error. Which must be quite common. There is a beta Fix by a third party on the web. Why has Cyberlink not sorted this out. I don't wont to risk a third party download which may very well be fine when Cyberlink should address this immediately. Having been to cyberlnk downloads I also see 2x audio problem fixes. Looks like they rushed this version through. Not happy at all two weekends wasted and I have WEDDING TO DO by xmas.
Any help appreciated. I am new member and first time using cyberlink - I thought got away from Pinnacle which is excellent but always buggy. I am looking to see if the story board size can be enlarged as too small for me.Tiny boxes are too small .This is my preferred view view of scene sequence. The UI can be changed for the top viewer etc why not the bottom of screen also ? Does not make any sense. Even Pinnacle 14 has this function. Not happy as thought the suite 3 would have Power DVD 14 included as standard plus Director 14 instead of 13 enclosed in the box. While the $800 value premium content is a joke i.e wedding package has only 6 transitions ok particles mybe another 3 . THAT IS hardly a package, same situation for holiday travel etc.
OK I am new may be missing something . Hope I have not made a mistake changing to Cyberlink. There are some pluses I can see..

Thanks for any help Dan.

Well many thanks. Very quick response still typing my problems..You can see I'm getting quite frustrated.
Where is the fix on the download section . I only see two audio fixes for power dvd 14. What do you mean by case I.D
I have the long product key & an SN :10013527 on the box. Retail purchase not download. ? Where is the new installer.Off work today trying to start this wedding movie. So will be my first but urgent project. Addition : I have only tried to load Power DVD today so I have not made a case I.D yet, I see this problem dgoaes back to ? may 2014. So can not understand why there is no patch on downloads by now after all this time. I only see Beta fixes. Do I have to use the Ultra power DVD Beta fix. or make case I.D. That may take too long.

Thanks Dan

Ok did not think at first this was the thing to do for such a basic issue as was sure a fix would be already available on support downloads. So quite shocked by this. Have now got a Question I.D CS001420117 ? Could not see a ticket number. Is this the same. Cant believe its 12am and got nowhere.
Thanks Dan

Hi I have had emails - But where is the fix. I can not find it. The link might say problem fixed. Ok where is the fix. I think Cyberlink assumes you have used this site for years. If this problem been reported and fixed a long time ago- Why am I not given the info. i.e Where to go for the fix.its not on the Power dvd 14 Downloads section where you would expect it. Considering Fixitman mentioned this problem above as far back as 14th April 14 . Why is it not even mentioned above in this forum. The fix that is. I have said I am new to this site.
Very strange. Getting very annoyed. It seems arrogant to just say its fixed. I am not telepathic - I don't think so anyway
So I have a useless new LG Blu Ray writer. Although after much trouble managed to play a blu ray movie on Power dvd 10. eventually .Rushed to buy 14 and its worse.
Dan
PS Where is this new installer that is mentioned. ?

Hi,
I checked with our Team and it seems quite complicate to follow up the different inquiries and it seems you mix up different products.

1. PowerDVD 14 => DVD/BD/Media Player [no edit just playback]
2. PowerDirector 13 > Video Editing Software
3. DirectorSuite 3 > Video and Photo Editing Suite

the CS Team will follow up (please understand that they Need to ask for proof of purchase)

Michael . My main problem is the title of this message board.
Exactly "Not enough Disk Space" when loading Power DVD 14
Of course all my recent products from Cyberlink will be effected if power DVD does not work. Hence I mentioned them. I have submitted proof of purchase on CS 0001420117.
As Cyberlink seem to be hung up on this. I repeat.
They are Director suite 3 : PK6716J67H393G13 although not required as problem is Power DVD 14.
AND THE POWER DVD 14 is xxxxx . I could not see an SR Number on search programs and files. It was not mandatory any way. But I spent quite awhile trying to find it and gave actual DVD details from the inner circle of DVD in case this was of help. I really dont see what else I can do. or why the extreme delay in sorting this problem if there is a fix. I had spent now over £200 for what I thought to be a promising product for all my future projects.
I have another weekend wasted and still can not load Power DVD 14. None of my questions have been answered Hence I try to give more information to no avail.
I see a beta patch- Do I use it- strange after all this time. No fully tested patch is available, and where is the new installer that is mentioned. I do wish I had not gone for Cyberlink now.Because Power DVD is not fit for purpose. will be approaching the retail supplier about this for a refund. While I am left with Director Suite 3 which will be a waste of money if I can not burn my projects to blu ray discs.
What the heck is going on for a known problem since April 2014. Why have I not been put in the right direction so I can get on with my project. The patch is still not listed or ? new installer I need for something that should have been on the dvd I bought. While input on this subject seems to have dried up on the boards- have the other reporters left cyberlink.
Power director 13 is contained within Director suite 3. I stated this should have been 14. while I gave feedback that surely power dvd should been included in the suite. Why even Power DVD 10 was included with my LG BLU Ray writer.Although also not fit for purpose because that also had great difficulty playing a blu ray movie. Hence my purchase of 14 which emphasizes the blu Ray features. I appears feedback is not wanted. Is there a patch or not. ? do I load the old beta patch which I'm not keen on.
Dan.
