Audio Editing

I select Wave Editor and it loads OK I then can Boost or edit as I wish then on closing it ask for save.
When selected the dialog box often shows not responding but eventually seems to save the audio file but the system does not return to PD12 but goes to a blank web page.
I sometimes can go back to PD12 f by selecting from my taskbar but other times receive the msg that the program is not responding with the option to wait or close.

Any ideas...

Kind of a shot in the dark.

When is the last time you did Maintenance tasks such as clearing Window Temp file and Powerdirector Temp file?

What about your Quicktime and Video driver.

You need the latest Quicktime (7.7.4) and a up to date video card driver.

If your video card is a Nvidia, drivers above 331.58 have problems in Powerdirector.

I have the latest Quicktime.

The attached file may help to understand the problem.

I select Edit audio with Wave Editor2 . This loads OK and I can do my editing and when I save the track the msg appears saying "not responding"but given time it will say 100% completed and I then can return to PD 12, but there is still the msg on the screen that I can mouse out of the way but I would have expected it to be removed once the 100% had finished..

I can moust the msg out of the way but it is still stayng on the screen why?

My guess is because the transfer did not complete from WaveEditor back to Powerdirector.

How are you closing WaveEditor after you are finished editing the audio?

The normal way is to the click the X in the upper Right corner and answer Yes, to the question do you want to save your changes.
Changes are saved, returns to Powerdirector, and there is the edited WAV file in the library and on the track.

File > Save to track is grayed out in my WaveEditor.

That's what I do the X and save and indeed when returned tp PD the audio file has been edited Ok and I assume the Wave Editor closed down automatically but it is the fact that the msg box still shows on my display and as I said I can move it out of the way by the mouse file but I did not expect it to do that.

Error message should not be there.

When the file is transferred correctly there is no error message.
