Rendering all video clips when playing. (Known issue with nVidia drivers)

I am using PD9, patched to the 3305 level, and it has been working fine. Previously, I had an issue where it rendered all video clips whilst playing them.
From this Forum, I found that the problem was caused by issues with the nVidia drivers for my graphics card. By making the changes suggested in the article, my problem was resolved. This week, I had another nVidia update to Ver. 331.65 and the problem returned.
I tried to do a driver roll-back via the Control Panel, but Option is "Greyed Out". I have also tried to install an earlier nVidia driver, but this fails as "A later version is already installed".
Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I might try next. If all else fails. I would consider purchasing the latest version of PD, but I would like to be sure that this issue has been well and truly solved in the later versions, and I wouldn't have this hassle every time I update my video driver.
My system details are as follows:-
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
GeForce GT 440 graphics Card 1Gb video RAM
CPU Intel i7-3300
RAM 12Gb DDR3
M/B Gigabyte X58AUD3R

Thanks,

The only thing I suggest is download the earlier driver.

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx

Try the install first. If that does not work follow the next step.

You may have to get mean. delete the current driver then install the Nvidia driver that works.
You can delete the Display Driver in Device Manager. That would drop your screen resolution to the lowest your Video card can produce. (you have removed the video driver).

A Reboot will get some video. Installing the Nvidia driver should restore your full resolution. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Thanks for your suggestions. After trying that and several other solutions, I have finally managed to revert my NVidia driver to 290.10, and now the problem is resolved.
It is disappointing that after this issue being around for a considerable time, that we have no solution from eith Cyberlink or nVidia. Only "workarounds".

Are you aware if this issue is still in the current versions of PD, such as Ver.12? I would consider upgrading, if it would resolve the issue, but I am loath to buy a product that is incompatible with the latest video drivers.
Thanks again for your reply.

From Powerdirector 11 and up the NVidia rendering problem has been resolved.
PD 10 has a patch that fixed some NVidia driver problems but not all.

Some Nvidia drivers are just junk and do not work correctly in Powerdirector 12.
