Copying Clips WITH markers to new project

I need to create and render various separate clips.

I took the time and trouble to mark various places in my original project where I need to split, add effects, change tracks, etc. After reading the various means of rendering only one of many clips, I chose the "easy" version - copy and paste to a new project, save as a separate file, render it, then bring them all back together.

This, to me, is MUCH preferable to the only other option I've seen, which is to save the main project various times then delete all other clips. My project is long, with 14+ clips, and this would be extremely time consuming.

BUT ... the markers did NOT copy over!

Is there a way to copy the markers also into a new project with the "cut and paste" option? Or can someone suggest a better way to do this?

Thank you!

EDIT: I just noticed that if I try to just resave the project with new names, then delete the clips before and after the clip I am editing and move the clips to the beginning of the timeline, I lose ALL my markers. Is there any way for the markers to "attach" to the clips? Or do I need to leave all my clips in the same place on the timeline??? This is a 2-hour project, so having to edit a clip that is at hour 1:30 means much scrolling for no reason. I am getting frustrated, as I took so much care to mark this entire video exactly as I wanted, and can't imagine having to do it all again - once for each clip!

I checked here, it's like you said.
If it were me upload the whole project, split edit and save each part.
I suggest next time separating the project into pieces before you start editing in case of using bookmarks. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

Do you use subtitles?

If not, you could use subtitle markers instead of timeline markers. The advantage there is you can move all the subtitle markers at the same time if you select all the markers first: click on the first subtitle marker, then hold down the shift key and click on the last one. Another advantage is you can copy and paste markers along with clips if you create a range with the range markers first before clicking the "Copy" button. Clips won't snap to subtitle markers, but you can move the cursor to a subtitle marker, then clips will snap to the cursor at that position.

When you add subtitle markers, you will see the text "Double-click to edit." You don't necessarily have to edit them out with a space if you can remember to disable the subtitle track before burning a DVD.

You can jump from one subtitle marker to the next by holding down the CTRL key and using the left or right arrows.

Excellent!! I don't use subtitles, so this solution should work.

And I'm learning as I go. Next project will be much smoother, I am sure.

You are awesome. This forum is one of the reasons I am buying PD 11 Ultimate Suite.
