Ive tried re-installing multiple times. Ive tried going to the website and doing the "Vista Check". Ive even tried installing it on another machine running WinXP and it works fine. No matter what I do on my Dell Vostro 200 (Vista) machine it shuts down when I click "Produce". I even tried creating a test video using only the supplied samples and that shuts down too.

It lets me upload video/audion, edit, and even burn to disk, but as soon as I click "Produce" it shuts itself down. No error message, just a Window that pops up that says somthing like Windows has experienced a problem and needs to close this program.

Any suggestions?

OK, I am now at the latest build.

"PowerDirector has stopped working" is the message I get. Somthing about a problem causing the software to not work correctly and needing to shut down.

I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM for some time now.
A few months ago i gave up after looking for a solution but couldn't find one.
Now, i wanted to edit a small movie again and because i have installed Service Pack 1 for Vista, i thought it would maybe work this time. I also removed PowerDirector completely from my system and then re-installed it.
I edited a movie but when i hit produce: same problem.. Vista gives me the error:
"PowerDirector has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. I think it has got something to do with the video codecs on your system. The first time i encountered this problem, i removed all codecs and re-installed only the necessary ones, but the error stayed.

It's been driving me crazy for months now!

I've sent you both a PM.

It's good that two of you have the same issue - means systems can be compared and localising the cause is narrowed etc.

PART H, test 1 and test 2?

I would also need to know the exact actions you are taking.
PART D

It is not easy trying to answer without full precise information or results to pass onto RD at CyberLink.

Well not one PM with a name or email requesting the posted potential solution - that is surprising.

I have sent the file to "bergsland" in Norway as he's previously provided the contact data.

OK, I still have the file available - ummm....

[b]I have pretty much the same issue, actually two different issues.
1. Every time I start PD7, Built 7.00.2105 it asks me to register and confirms that registered successfully.
2.I can NOT Produce ANY video formats at all, the program crashes after about 12-14 min of produced video.
I requested costumer support and did everything they recommended like disable spyware, selective msconfig, increase virtual memory, clean reinstall, clean registry and so on. NOTHING WORKS.
I'm posting the printed screen. That is how it looks like.
