I am new to PD 11 but every once in a while after I done some editing I lose the Preview Screen.

Surely there is a button I can click on the screen somewhere to restore it and bring it back, but for the life of me I can't find it.

Sure would appreciate some help with this - where in the world is the preview screen restore button?????????????????

Thank you

What do you mean by you loose it? It goes blank or it just disappears?

Dafydd - the "Click to Restore Preview Box" is always there when I first load up PD but when I start editing, undock the Preview Box and go full screen - sometimes when I go back to edit mode, the Preview Box doesn't appear and the "Click to restore" button isn't there either.

I am not sure what is going on?!?!?!

Cheers.

Hi Gordon7979 ,
Please show us, by providing a full screen snapshot of the Edit Workspace with the problem you have mentioned.

Please advise, How many monitors are you using?

Please look in your graphic card Control Window, how many monitors does it show active?

Thank you, Dafydd.

I am using one monitor.

I will, indeed, take a screen shot next time it happens and post it. Not sure I can "make it happen" intentionally. It seems to be a "hit or miss" thing.

Cheers.

As mentioned, sometimes when I go back to the edit mode, there is no preview screen evident and no button to restore it.

You tried to leave the size of the preview in fit

I noticed that your preview this in 25 small screen.
In case you like to use full screen preview, use the ESC key on your keyboard to return to the editor AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

My problem Playsound is that sometimes I totally loose the preview screen and often the restore button, as you can see, isn't there.

Dafydd Has asked me to take a screen shot next time it happened. Hence the shot above.

Gordon

In the screenshot you posted the Preview screen is in the normal docked position so there is no need for a restore button.
As Playsound observed you have reduced your preview to 25% so that the preview screen is not filled out.
In your screenshot the "undock button" is clearly visible bottom right, just right of the 3D button.
The screenshot you have posted shows nothing wrong, that I can see.

Thanks guys - I'll wait until it does it again (where I lose the preview screen and there isn't a restore button) and then will post a proper screenshot.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers.

If you are using Win 7 and just in case you have an "off screen window" problem, the following thread may help:

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itproui/thread/f3040564-0457-4c91-af71-dce1bc673a99

Of course, it may have nothing to do with it either.

Cheers
Adrian
