I updated my ATI graphics drivers from AMD Catalyst 12.2 to 12.6 to resolve an issue unrelated to PD11, and now when trying to launch PD11 it displays the "PDR11.txt has stopped working" error. I tried doing a complete uninstall of PD11 and all its components, reboot, and do a clean install of PD11. Tried launching PD11 before and after applying patch 2215 with the same results.
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit, and my graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series. I don't want to roll back the graphic driver changes, so has anyone else experienced this issue and know of a solution?
Artzero, I am curious about something. Were you working okay at Catalyst 12.4. If you go through the README file for 12.6, the Radeon 4800 is no longer listed. That is very odd since the AMD search still guides you to 12.6 when you enter you OS type, etc...
In fact, I am beginning to wonder if ATI has abandoned the 4800 series (and older). The latest Catalyst's do not list them.
Isn't it to be on a system that is getting old? I am right there with you! By the way, I found that if I uninstall 12.6, powerdirector comes up just fine. So now the question is what is the "best" old level to go back to AND does this mean we hit the end of the line with updates for Radeon 4800's.
