Hi,
You'll need to create
1. A Custom Profile, for example for an mpeg4.
2. then go to: C:\Users\PCNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\11.0
3. Select Profile.ini and open in NotePAD
4. Isolate the GOP pattern and change to what you want.
5. Just make sure you're aware of what the GOP patterns mean and they have an effect on the headers/joining of video files.

Below is a Profile for a Sanyo camera, I have highlighted the GOP pattern.

Thanks a lot Dafydd,

It is what I asked for.

Of course I am aware what is GOP and what the effects are.
Thank you again for your quick help.

Nice to see that dynamic GOP could be switched on too.

Hi gregston ,

I would be very interested in what you come up with and I sure others would be. Please share your results and what customization you make.

Hi Dafydd,

I am a little bit busy to finish my last project with no experiments.
Next week I am going to find some time to make deeper research with GOP structures.
I promise you that I will share with my feelins here.

Long project, huh, gregston?

So, Dafydd (or anyone else who is knowledgeable about the subject), can you also give a brief explanation of what each of the settings actually does, or point me to a place that does? I'm not asking for a crash course, just what the reference IDs are actually referencing. For instance, For the "Pattern Setting" I'd be looking for something like "GOP Pattern" rather than an explanation of what a GOP is. It would also be nice to know what each integer setting does if at all possible.

Specifically, I'd like to know if and how you can toggle between open and closed GOP, but knowing the rest of them may be helpful as well.

Thanks

Hi legendofzub,
Rather than resurrect a 3 year old thread, please start a new topic for your new question. See guides at the start of the forums.

Thread closed.

Dafydd
PS To find an explanation on GOP, do a Google search, easier than anyone having to write up a specific answer for you.
