Interesting workaround. It works but I prefer PowerDVD.

I have the same issue. I opened a service request Case ID CS001136257 which now shows resolved, although it wasn't. It is 100% Cyberlink's fault that the software doesn't work all of a sudden and I have a suspicion this is a bait and switch tactic to get users to buy newer versions. The trial for PowerdDVD 12 plays blu rays and the tech support person coolly says 'If it works on Powerdvd 12, then you should just buy that'. Oh, just spend another 80 dollars to buy new software from the same crappy company whose earlier version doesn't work! Now, WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?

So, is this now sorted? I guess not because I have spent all night trying to use the various fixes detailed and I still cant play this bluray disc because PDVD wants connection to the internet.

This is shabby Cyberlink, where is your customer service and loyalty

Just because people stop writing and complaining doesnt mean problem solved. It probably means they have given up and moved to a different piece of software.

I own both PDVD10 & 12 and both have problems.

I give up now on your poor quality service, support and ethics. I have wasted enough money with your company and renting discs I never get to watch. I will just buy a stand alone player.

Same problem. Just bought a blu-ray recorder with PowerDVD 10 included. And:

1) it does not work without update
2) it is not updatable (internet connection error)

Starting to think that Cyberlink is a worst software developer ever.

me to have this issue. Suddenly, out of nowhere I the PowerDirector 10 cannot log on to Internet for update or all other needs (such as uploading to Vimeo and more).

The styrange thing is that every time I have had issues with PowerDirector, I have been forced to upgrade one major version, and pay more money, to have the issues sorted out. I also suspect them to play dirty in this game.

It is too obvious that I without changing anything on my computer suddenly should have such strange issues.

Fix the stuff, or pay us the money back.

@flying205nutter

Your information is working. However, update PowerDirector 10 is not working with Windows 7 64bit. How to solve it?
