I have been struggling trying to use keyframe-controlled rotation in my PD9 project and have just about given up in despair. Basically I have some clips where I've inadvertently tilted the camera during the shot so I want to generate a progressive rotation to compensate. I've read through the comments above and viewed Tony's video but I can't seem to reproduce this and wonder if it's using features that are not included in PD9. If it needs an upgrade to a later version of Power Director that won't happen as I didn't like the way Cyberlink dealt with the NVidia rendering issue and vowed never to deal with them again.
The editor I used before Power Director had a very simple, elegant and intuitive way of working with keyframes and I really can't understand why Cyberlink have made it so clunky and difficult to use. For example if I go into PIP designer and try to use the frame-by-frame arrows to position the cursor I can't then access any of the other buttons - they're all greyed out - until I click the Stop button but the cursor then returns to the start of the clip so it's impossible to get frame-accurate keyframe positions. Even after I have inserted the required keyframes I can't find how to use Mark's method of setting different rotations on each one.
The PD9 User Guide is very lacking in information on the use of keyframes. I've looked at all the pages referred to the word 'keyframe' in its index and the only, very brief, description is in the PIP designer motion control. Does anyone know of a more complete description of what can be done with keyframes and how related to PD9 anywhere?
Edit: Having had yet another attempt it looks as if rotation is not one of the attributes that it is possible to keyframe in this version of Power Director. Too bad.
