Do you have a BluRay player?

BluRay disks only play in a BluRay player or a PS3.

The BDMV folder has several sub-folders, one is STREAM and has the M2TS files (the actual video).

Is that the structure you have?

Information on BluRay disks:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc

Scroll down to Software standards for the structure of a BluRay Video disk.

I use my PS3 for BRs. The PS3 doesn't recognize either BRs I produced, produced and burned, or created/produced and burned.

Used PD9 to edit, render, and burn. Used P2G to burn files to BR. Used multiAVCHD to burn. Non successfully or couldn't get them to play on PS3.
attached is 2 screen shots of produced for PS3 folder and Create for BR Folder and sub folder Stream file view. What files do I burn to BR disk?

Unable to attach, more than 1, of screen view of file for PS3. In that file are 2, MP4 file and THM file

Power2Go will not burn a BluRay video disk. It will only burn a data disk. That's why they don't work.

Take a look at this thread: "Burn any media to any disc" ??? Jerry Schwartz

I think the big question is do you have a Blu-Ray burner in your computer?

The reason I ask is because Powerdirector can burn a Blu-ray video if you have a Blu-ray burner.

If you don't have a Blu-ray burner, you should get one for your computer.

Blu-Ray burners are not expensive anymore. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Very Good.

What kind of disk authoring software do you use?

I use Nero Burning Rom 9.

In case you don't know, the format of a Blu-ray disk is UDF.
If you use any other disk format the disk you burn will not play in a Blu-ray player.

For a Blu-ray video you must have the UDF file system and the correct folder structure.

Thks Carl,
Again Questions without knowing answer, "confuse". me. I'm better at asking question.

Used PD9 and also multiAVCHD to burn. "authoring"? does that take more than useing software to burn. I was wondering if there wasn't a startup .exe file that I missed and should have been added,

before doing anything else, let me go to WalMart. They have a BD Player for $69 black Fri sale. I need to buy my wife a gift, I do believe she deserves one. give me 8 or 10 hours to buy and try BR I burned in her new player.

Be back soon Amature does it till he gets it right. A Pro does it till he can't get it wrong.

Are you sure that is a gift for your wife :

Disk Authoring software is any of many disk creating suites available. The 'authoring' part comes from the fact that in some programs you can completely create a disk from files. Some can create video disks just from files.

Powerdirector does not have the ability to burn a disk from the disk folder it creates. Thus you need third party software to burn the disk. But PD does create the complete disk structure for DVD or Blu-ray Video.

So if I burn a Blue-ray with PD9 it will not play on PS3 or Blue-ray player? I need a third party to take the files PD3 creates on my harddrieve to then burn to Blue-ray disc?

Will multiAVCHD do this?

Wife deserves much more and she has all I have. LOL 40 years and counting. Amature does it till he gets it right. A Pro does it till he can't get it wrong.

PD9 will burn a Blu-ray disk directly; it will not copy a folder to a "normal" disk. Jerry Schwartz

Trying again. Making coasters so far. Looking at the data va PC Explore, files all seem to be on BR disc. Burning using "Creat Disc" in PD9. Chosen a standard Menu Preference of sports "Soccer". On PD9 chosen "Disc Preference" and then Blue-Ray 25GB/ let the other "video and audio settings" alone.
Hit burn.
Authoring progress after time elapsed 4min is 24%.
Time remaning 41:01,min

it is what it is and will be
tks for help. will post results using PS3 and wife new Blue-ray player. Amature does it till he gets it right. A Pro does it till he can't get it wrong.

To burn your bluray, try a free program called imgburn. I have been using it for years. No coaster and excellent compatibility.

But this could also be that your bluray media and/or player is not compatible. What blank media are you using? What player?

My burn using PD3 was successful. I can watch on PS3 and RCA Blue-ray player.
I do not have a menu or I can't get to the menu in either player.
How do you creat memu in PD9 that is usable?

Randy, Tks for advise on imgburn. download and trying to figure out what I need to choice to burd. It keeps asking for a file. I don't know or haven't figured out how to get the blue-ray needed files or folders. Menu editing has a lot of possibilities. Going to read up on sftw

Thks Carl, your a good problem solver and communicator. Wide thanks you also. LOL Amature does it till he gets it right. A Pro does it till he can't get it wrong.

In the Create Disk Module there are three tabs, Content, Menu Preferences and Disk Preferences.
Content tab is the video or videos you are burning to the disk.

Menu Preferences is where you choose your menu template or No Menu (You seem to have No Menu selected).

Disk Preferences is where you choose the disk format your are creating, DVD is for a standard DVD Video, Blu-Ray is for Blu-Ray disk.

Attached are screen shots of PD 9's Create Disk Module, the Menu Preferences and the Disk Preferences.

Subtitles are added in the Subtitle room, click bottom icon on the Left of your edit window.

Menus are created in the Create Disk Module.
