Since I have updated build 2701 I can not longer play my iso files while in cinema mode i receive a message that the mounted drive is a non supported format. I am using virtual clone drive to mount my iso, which has been working fine. if I switch to classic mode the ISOs play fine.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Sure do. It has been reported, but give all of your information so that they understand more folks have this issue...

you can find more information here...

download a previous update. i know 2325 works with anydvd and virtual clone drive. this will allow you to enjoy your mounted iso's, but i got a feeling we may be denied an actual fix since it breaks the blu ray groups copy protection rules.

if you are ok with not using cinema mode you can leave 2701 installed and just use classic mode...

I had run into the same issue playing mounted ISOs in Cinema mode and I was also able to resolve this by going back to an older version of powerDVD10 (v 1830). This worked fine until the most recent windows update on 6/5/2011. Now I cannot play mounted ISOs in cinema mode with either the older powerDVD10 (v 1830) nor the most recent powerDVD10 (v 2916).

I reverted the windows update from 6/5 and reverted PowerDVD back to v 1830 and now playing mounted ISOs works.

Has anyone found a workaround aside from blocking windows update?

BTW, I have pretty much the same setup as user tlh523 (windows 7 64bit, running anydvd, using virtual clone drive)

Full System Configuration:

PowerDVD full Version Yes PDVD 10 Ultra
PowerDVD Trial Verison? N0
Operating System. Window 7 64bit
Do you use administrator or restricted user account? Admin
Is your PowerDVD a Retail product or bundles with HW? Retail
Graphics Chipset ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series

The Audio setting in PowerDVD and in OS (default devices): digital coax out
Do you use Amplifier (Model/connection) pioneer elite reciever
Used Display(s): Sony XBR 60"
Which kind of display connection HDMI
Whcih Display refresh rate do you use while Playback 120
single monitor environment
What kind of Antivirus SW are you using: McAfee

Any update on this? I had to update to the May Patch (build 2916) so I could play Knight and Day as a mounted BR. Now I can not mount and play any of my ISO titles, without reverting back to my original V10 update....I seem be to stuck between a rock and a hard place with this issue...I use Media Center exclusively so playing in "Classic" mode is not a good alternative. I also updated my VirtualCloneDrive to the most current release as well, without sucess. Any news on when this issue is being fixed?

So, what is the progress of the patch? I had to wait 2 months after patch 2701 broke ISO playback for patch 2916 to fix the problem, which it them didn't fix. Not sure what patch 2916 did exactly, as I can't use IE9 or play my ISO files with it. Now here I am another two months on and still no solution in sight?

ajlueke, I feel your pain, as I am getting rather disgusted with CyberLink on getting these two issues resolved.

Make sure you enable hardware acceleration on the Video tab under Configuration.

Thanks for the reply. I do have the ATI Avivo checked in PowerDVD 10. I am using a Radeon HD 5870 in the system I play movies from. Has anyone had success with patch 2916 and PowerDVD 10 using the My Movies, Virtual Clone Drive setup out of media center?

ajlueke, I had to revert to my original DVD 10 release to get this to work. I am starting to look for alternaitves to PDVD 10, as it is becoming obvious that Cyberlink is not addressing this issue.

I had to revert back to version 2429. That version and earlier will work with Virtual Clone drive and My Movies out of Media Center. Patch 2701 causes ISOs to become unsupported, and the patch 2916 that was supposed to correct the problem just gives me a black screen when I play ISOs. Of course, patch 2429 does not work with IE9, so I have been using IE8 and now Chrome. I have found however, that some earlier versions of PowerDVD 9 will work with IE9. Maybe if I keep rolling back versions I'll get the functionality I want.

Again, I am curious if anyone who had the .ISO virtual clone drive issue with patch 2701 had their issue resolved with patch 2916? If so, maybe there are things I can tweek with my setup.
