For those that are interested(this obviously does not include any and all cyberlink personel)
Just tried the latest so called fix from cyberlink for pdvd10, it barely works i played 1 disc then it failed to play a 2nd disc, tried ISO files also failed, i had to restart the system to even get pdvd 10 to restart it would then play 1 disc but fail on the second. This is not an acceptable solution for such an expensive piece of software.
Pdvd 11 works ok(trial version!) But i don't recommend upgrading or purchasing a full version unless they can guarantee full support for more epic fails, so far they have been worse than useless.
@cyberlinkmichael if you read this i sent you loads of information which i can only assume you have not looked at as i have received no reply.
Been waiting 5 months now and still no good fix for the many errors, considering the cost of this software its not really acceptable.

razy60, Thanks for the information. I don't know what is going on at CyberLink as the last 6 months or so they have done nothing wiht PDVD 10. Promises for future updates, but no delivery. Is @cuyberlinkmichael is a postion to do anything? The last time I tried opening a ticket on the ISO playback issue Cyberlink support informed me that is isn't supported, which is a crock of @#$%. I rolled back to my original PDVD 10 Ultra release, whcih allows me to play my ISO library using Virutal Clone Drive, but the direct playback of BD is sometimes problematic, depending on the title. I am getting very frustrated.

I doubt very much if we are the only ones.
You could try the latest driver update for your gfx card and try updating or even trying a different clone drive, dvdfab, anydvd and alcohol52(free version of alcohol120) not that it helps much but at least after a few attempts i can watch a film in hidef.
I have used MPC as that has the ability to play ISO files it can be a pain to set up if there is more than 1 m2ts file though.

PowerDVD 10 is not supporting ISO files that mounted with the virtual clone disk, dvdfab, anydvd, alcohol52? This is non-sense to me, PowerDVD 11 can, PowerDVD 9 can, PowerDVD 10 ealier release build number can. Why suddenly can not?

Second, I feel Cyberlink purposely make things happens like this in order to persuade us to upgrade to PowerDVD 11. I bought this software is mainly to installed on my HTPC at my living room to play BD-ISO. I don't wish to upgrade to higher version since the functionality of PowerDVD 10 is fullfill my requirement. I supported original software, but how Cyberlink treat us like this? This is really a tricks.

Hi,

I checked with my colleagues and we plan to release a PowerDVD 10 patch quite soon, it should be end of September.

The ISO playback issue with virtual drives is addressed and will be included in the patch.

@cyberlink Michael, I hope this is true, as so far the company record is poor at providing fix's. considering the cost of your software these problems should have been addressed immediately, there are no reasonable excuses, as you had released a version of your software that had no problem with playback which in its self should have allowed someone to fix it.
A company which allows this sort of problem to carry on for such a long period with such a poor response is a company that deserves no support from its customers and certainly no loyalty

@CyberLink-Michael, thank you for the update on this, as it has been quite awhile that this issue has been open, as this was missed in the May update....Regards,

I have thrown in the towel, CyberLink wore we down on this issue. I have just purchased the PDVD11 upgrade for fifty bucks. I will be interesting to see how this integrates with my Droid devices. One things CyberLink should add to this product is the ability to lauch PDVD on a Media Center Extender....that would be truly worth an upgrade.

Installed patch 3306 today. ISO files play out of Cinema Mode in media center. I installed IE9 and everything still works flawlessly! With my Infinitv 4 I am once again able to enjoy all my TV and movies from media center. It took a while, but it seems all functionaility is restored with this patch.
