Do you mean a solid green screen? Sounds like PD is not finding the correct codec for the video you are trying to edit. Do you know what codec it is, or what camera did it come from? __________________________________

its a Sanyo VPC-GH2 HD Camera and I am not sure what codec comes with the camera . Any suggestion ? Can I download a codec from somewhere ?

When i use Power director 9 to preview the video ,that is when I get the solid green background , but when I play the video with VLC ,the the video file plays ok , it is only in PD9. I have just installed some codec from divx.com , but with no luck , I am begining to think that maybe PD9 thus not support my Camera video format !!!

First, do you have QuickTime? VLC uses it's own codecs that are not necessarily available to PowerDirector. I looked at the web site and it talks a lot about iTunes and QuickTime, so that might solve your problem. __________________________________

Sorry for the mix up , the video attached was from my canon camera ( in mov format ) , I took a video of my PD9 screen shot to show you what it looks like , with the green background , so I don't think quick time is the solution...

As far as I know PowerDirector needs quicktime, if you don't have the latest quicktime you need to install it. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn

And I do have quicktime , but still getting the green background .. Like I said this is only happening in PD 9 's preview screen , the actual playback video is ok ....see above video .....

OK I am confused.... is your sample video made with the same camera that has the problem? If not we need an actual sample of the actual video giving you the actual problem like originally requested... because your supplied videos wont help us. We need the one that has the problem. Not a video of your preview screen showing the problem. __________________________________________

Walenco: I downloaded your video, but it is too brief. All I see is a flash on Windows Media Player, which is consistent with the small file size. We need something a bit longer to try and figure out what is going on.

Your sample video actually has no video.... How long is the video in question that you showed us already? What size is that file?
