Please load your file to your hard drive first and then import from there into PD9. Win 10, i7

Are you talking about just looking at the video clip on the time line or a rendered project?

HDedit is right, you get better results working off a hard drive.

Depending on your computer and the preview window resolution you have selected, the higher (or better) resolution selected sometimes cause your preview to be choppy and jerky. This during preview only, normally your rendered project will be fine.

The best free video, audio, and more converter is Format Factory if you need to convert anything prior to shoving it into Power Director.

I checked your camera's specs and it outputs an MOV file that is compatible to PD9. I use a similar camera. You should not have problems with the video. I recommend using the best video format of your camera : 1920x1080 @ 24 fps. Win 10, i7

Mr. A,
what are your computer specs? It is quite possible that you are a little short on horsepower for a full-blown HD preview.
A helpful thing is your preview window has several degrees of clarity. If you lower your preview quality it can help to play smoother. The quality setting is under the preview window just to the left of the volume setting, it looks like a square. This will not effect output, it just helps find a level that your computer can handle.
