The problem still persists for me as well. Same exact thing as Roland is experiencing, works fine in classic mode but not cinema mode (or through WMC). Hopefully the below information will help. Let me know if you need any additional information.

PowerDVD 10 Mark II Ultra Version 10.0.2916.51
SR Number: DVD110429-07
TR Number: TR110516-059
Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1
Administrator account
Downloaded version - upgraded from bundled product through Cyberlink
Nvidia GeForce GT 430
Latest driver 270.61
Toshiba 40" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV 40G300U
Connected by HDMI
Single monitor (TV)
I have 2 audio set ups that I can switch via Windows - one is to use the existing HDMI connection on the TV, the other is I have a Turtle Beach adapter that allows me to get optical audio to my Sony receiver/amplifier.
Microsoft Security Essentials installed

AnyDVD HD 6.8.0.0 used to rip Blu Rays and DVDs (installed on a different system)
Virtual CloneDrive 5.4.5.0

Any ideas on this? It's been two weeks since I reported.
Incidently, I tried PowerDVD 11 Trial version and it did not have this issue and everything played fine, but I'm hesitant to purchase the upgrade because I simply need to be able to play Blu Rays under WMC and have no use for the additional features.
I also tried Arcsoft's software but I have a worse problem with it on that particular system; it loses video signal with my HDMI connection and there are some audio issues as well; PowerDVD doesn't have either of these problems.
If a fix for PowerDVD 10 is in the works, it would be most ideal. I'd hate to spend $60 just to upgrade to PowerDVD 11 and fix the problem and then risk it being broken again in a future patch.

I've got the same issue - it all started 2 patches ago. All discs come up "unsupported format" in Cinema mode.
In classic mode though, it just crashes.

As more logs might help...

Any update from Cyberlink on this issue? My entire library is effectively usless.

After using PDVD 8,9, and 10 do I now need to go to TMT to get this functionality back?

Dear Griffo,
do you encounter this issue in CinemaMode / MCE plugin?

TMT isn't any better. They have worse problems. Just an FYI. I went to PowerDVD 11 and it works fine. Maybe this bug was introduced to the latest patches to push people to 11?

Hello!

So in MCE / Cinemamode, i get the "This is an unsupported disc" error.
When in windowed desktop mode, it just crashes or sits there forever. Used to work perfectly before the last 2 patches.

Hi Griffo,

ok - got it thanks

We are internally working on the issue within the CM/MCE - and we guess your issue is a possible side effect on your platform.

please help to:
- make sure the Virtual drive SW is up-to-date
- please help to post the Crash log info for the Crash from within the MS eventlog

thanks and BR

Thanks Michael.
a) Virtual clone drive is up to date
b) nothing is logged apart from "Windows Crash Reporter service started" / stopped

I've gone back to PDVD9 which works fine. I'd go try 11 except there's nothing new in it I really need, and the cost for FPP is a bit high just to work around the bug. And there's just too many steps involved with the upgrade version if I ever need to re-install it. (ininstall, install Blu-Ray suite 7, upgrade to PDVD 10, upgrade to PDVD 11)
