PLEASE HELP!! NEED VIDEO IN 12HOURS AND IM STUCK!!
[Post New]
Im not sure to be honest. The ting is. Here, at home i have a 8 year old PC, at work I have access to about 30 5000 macs and none of them would play it past 3.34. so does that means it could be a write problem even though the produced file says its 13.2 gb? Because if those computers wont play it then...nothing will...
And yes ill do that now. The Legendary Shaules...

Robert im going to try that right now. The Legendary Shaules...

Do you think I should try in HD? In the end it has to be. at my work, The church were the service is, its going to be projected onto a 20'x20' screen sooo...yeah...Try regular first when i break it into thirds or go right for the big guns of HD?

And once I get it all 3-4 segments of it done what do I splice them together with PD?

The smaller the number of elements the better. Try HD with small amount of images and add more (saving as you go) until it fails to produce.

OR make a copy of your big project (like save under another name) and start removing elements until you can get it to produce...sure try HD if that is the final destination.

I am fading. Hope my input helps..we are a global group so maybe someone else will jump in as I fade out!!

If you make a couple of smaller segments and produce, you can use PD to splice them...I too am concerned about your hardware, though.

I would go to HD if that is what you want. Although one thing I will say about video and also photos it is the memory that will stick with people not the crystal clear production. Something I found when I had some of my old super8 films from the 60's and 70's converted to DVD's. The quality was very bad but the memories were priceless.

If it works cutting it into half or thirds you just start a new project drop the new videos onto the timeline and produce. This should go much easier on your computer as all of the hard work has been done.

Do you think PD will be able to handle that last export? Because those files will be large and it has to go through that huge file.. or will it just use its already processed info and put them together quickly? Because in theory the videos are already HD so it should go quickly right. Converting Non-HD to HD originally is what takes up the time correct?

And yes Robert I agree. the static of the old film really is what sets the mood. But on the HUGE screen I want to be able to tell the difference between his eyes and the large black spots i call "Gruesome grain!" on the photos haha. Thanks for the input guys! Don't know what I would have done without you!!!

OK, I did download the PRODUCE.MP4 file and it was missing images and sounds....
Hopefully splitting the production will work for you.
Gnight and good luck.

Would you guys recommend that I just take the original video, make 3-4 copies or the file name "1-4" and split what i have, audio, effects and all into 3-4 different parts at major junction points like song transitions? Or how else? The Legendary Shaules...

The hardest part is processing all the separate files not necessarily the conversion to HD. Like if you end up with 2 or 3 videos already in the final .mov format it will be much easier on PD to join 3 videos instead of 10 or 20 .wmv videos.

Good luck and I will be around for another hour or so but it will be time for me to go soon as well. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn

That sound good first off though try and produce the first third of the timeline to see if it works. I would delete from a junction not half way though a clip.

With Fred mentioning that the mp4 had missing images and sounds it may be more complicated than just simple split and produce. Lets hope it works for you though. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn

One last thing re the length of the video to be shown at the memorial. Even if you only succeed in producing a 3-5 minute video this can still be a powerful memory for people. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn
