Curious as to why the default avi files from AMD Crossfire is not supported. Just recorded some laps but when I went to edit got the message that this is not supported

It gives you the choice of av1, avc or HEVC in their Adrenalin software and as AMD are failly big players I am wondering what to do and what is supported?

Change Adrenalin capture video encoding type to AVC or HEVC, AV1 is not supported in PD21.

changed to HEVC and it worked but still you would think the deafault AMD would be supported.

No reason to really think that, but it would be nice if PD21 video support was modernized.

PD21 does not widely support many of the common newer technologies like AV1, 4:2:2 chroma subsampling, 10-bit color depth, VP9,..... so one simply has to convert source video or capture in supported formats if you'd like to edit in PD21 or switch to an editor that's attempting to stay current.
