Replace does not work with color boards

In PD365 (21.1.2401.0), I cannot use the timeline Replace function on color boards. If I try to replace one color board with another, the original remains unchanged after I select Replace. The same thing happens if I try to replace a color board with an image or video clip. I can't do it.

I can replace a photo or video clip with a color board, but the only way to change an existing color board is to delete it and drag a new one in its place.

I don't know when this bug appeared, but I imagine it was when CL added the color boards with gradients.

I've reported the issue on ticket #CS002617722 and it would be interesting to see if anyone sees this in PD21 or any older versions. I don't see the issue in PD17, for example.

Hi,
I can confirm that the Color Board replace works fine on my copy of PDR19 2108.
It does not work the same on PDR 365 Business 2401.

I have no copy of PDR20 active on this system at the moment, so can't say on that one.

Cheers

It's unclear if OP of the other thread ever reported this issue, but now that's been done

Ok.

I referenced the post as it appeared to have fairly good resolution to your question on affected versions, basically, the issue crept in on version 21.1.2401.0.

CL tech support responded saying that they've reproduced the issue and have escalated it to engineering. I can only hope that restoring that functionality doesn't break something else undecided

The March release of PD365 (21.3.2708.0 / VDE221124-03) is now out, and I'm happy to report that replacing color boards works as expected again cool
