Hey,

I read that VST plugins should be supported in Power Director / Audio Director. My harddisk is full of plugins but unlike in other VST hosts, they I can't find them anywhere.

Are VSTs supported? Can anyone give me a hint on how to use them?

Thanks

If you have downloaded a VST plug-in effect and it's of supported format, you need to import it into AD
1. From the AD menu select File > Import VST Plug-in Effects...
2. Browse to the location where the downloaded VST plugin effect is located.
3. Select the VST plugin effect and then click Open

Thanks Jeff,

I really missed this menu entry. However the outcome is disappointing. Most of the relevant VSTs I own are not loading, e.g. the amazing Waves Clarity.

That's been posted previously here.

You can contact CL directly to understand why Waves VSTs are not compatible, and you can also request that they find a way to make them usable in a future version. Here's the contact page.
