I bought PD11 on eBay for my offline desktop pc (windows XP). When I try to open an mp4 message pops up Activating h264 component. You must first activate this feature before using it. Connect to the internet and then try again. Activation is free and quick process. H.274-component activation. The codec trial has expired. Please connect to the internet to activate now. I can't do this with the desktop computer. Can I get what I need on my Android phone which is connected to the internet? Thank you.

Hello,

Yes you do need to be connected to the Internet to activate the H.264 codec I'm afraid.

However, there is potentially a larger issue in that you may have problems with the activation once connected because you are running Windows XP. Due to older versions of Windows lacking the latest security protection technolgy, activating software on computers running these versions may not complete successfully. For security reasons, the activation server cannot still allow legacy OS to connect, as it may cause a data leak.

Thank you for this answer. It saved me from a lot of trouble taking my desktop to the computer shop. Feedback: I did not see that my question had been answered in the answers column. It was zero. I'm glad I clicked on my post to get the answer. Thanks again.
