Newblue effects not usable

On my powerdirector 365 version 21.1.2401.0 all of the newblue effects have a gray 'x' going through every scene that uses those effects and the effect previews show that 'x' as well. What happened to it?

I tried reinstalling the Boris FX as it was displaying the "The Boris FX product is in trial mode." and now it doesn't appear in powerdirector 365 after I uninstalled it and powerdirector prompting me to reinstall it (you can see it's missing in the effects list in the screenshot provided). Now I'm afraid of reinstalling newblue effect because I don't know how powerdirector would handle that.

Concerning CL supplied NewBlue Fx, this would apply https://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-content.do?id=26469
