Hello everyone!
I have a few posts on a few sites about the same problems that others seem to have...not playing, etc.

I found out from Best Buy computer Geeks (who worked on it for me...for a price) that it was a simple video card driver upgrade to windows 7. Now my version 10 Ultra plays blu-ray but has a "skip" every second. This is one that I, nor an in-house technician, has an answer to.

My XPS 1530 is great but forget Dell...their support is non-existent. You can't get anyone that is not from India...not even if you offer to pay for the service.

On two occasions, they told me they need to reinstall the operating system...that is their standard answer. And, they are completely wrong.

In closing, I love the version 10 (once I can get rid of this skip) and I would never buy another Dell's support. I will pay Best Buy to work on it.

Good luck everyone...
But...to add to my response post...I was on the phone for 90 minutes and go absolutely nowhere with the person. Soooo, to me, the premium phone service was a waste of money. They had no idea what they were doing. With that said...

I must add that I bought the Power DVD version 10 Ultra (for blu-ray and 3-D, etc) and I loooove it! I love the quality and I love the features. To me, it was a great buy.

I just had to add that little bit

Ralph
I have had MAJOR problems with my Dell XPS 1530's blu-ray player. I upgraded my windows Vista to Windows 7 and then my blu-rays would not play.

Dell's answer? The standard reformat the operating system. I took my laptop to Best Buy and it turned out that it was a video card driver that needed to be updated to Windows 7 version.

As a result, my Power DVD player worked fine....for 24 hours. It plays now, but it skips every second.

Sooooo...to answer your question, if you are having the same type problem that I had, you need to do to Dell drivers and downloads and upgrade your video driver.

DO NOT pay the 29.95 premium phone support to speak to India...it is a total waste of money and your time.

I hope this helps you
