Well that may be true, but regardless you can't update the trial version. I tried just to be sure

Ok, I just decided to buy the full software because they said I could get a 30 money back gaurantee if it didn't work. With the full version, all the features do work fine now, so I guess it was restricted in the trial for anyone who wants to know.
(Which is odd because they aren't listed on the restrictions)

Ok at this point I'm giving up. I've already looked at that link, and as i said before, i was confused because it didn't seem like those features were restricted. If that is the case, and the features simply don't work at all, I guess the program isn't for me. Thanks

Alright thank you, that was more helpful but honestly all of you are dodging the question again and again. I'm saying on ANY SYSTEM does the trial restrict some of the fix and enhance tool I've mentioned. It's s simple question, simple answer. If the features are restricted in the trial, no problem, if they aren't, no problem, I won't need any further help.

Look, I don't know what your problem is. Maybe because you're a moderator you think you're so awesome...
My computer is plenty powerful enough to edit 1080i video, I've done it with a variety of other programs with minimal to no lag time. Also the other system I tested it on has a core i7 920, 2 intel x25-m in raid 0, a nvidia gtx 270, and 8 gigs of ram, so if that's not good enough for the program it's rediculous. The reason I didn't provide much detailed info is because it doesn't have anything to do with any system; it's a general question (and you would know this if you payed ANY attention at all) ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS IF THE TRIAL VERSION RESTRICTS THE FEATURES IM TALKING ABOUT. I don't know how I could make it any more clear. The other person was actually helpful, you are by far the least helpful moderator I've ever encountered.

Alright, I know my stuff when it comes to computers. I've built a few, so here you go...
My specs:
OS: windows 7 home premium
CPU: intel core 2 duo e6750 2.66 ghz
Ram: 4 gb corsair ddr2
HD: intel x25-m 80gb SSD
Graphics: nvidia geforce 9800 gtx+
I'm not sure what else you would need to know;
I've tried editing on this system as well as 2 others, one with higher specs and the other an old laptop with XP
As for the video, I've tried editing all types. Mainly I'm trying to wok with my kodak zi8 pokect HD, with video shot in 1080i 30fps, mono audio. (.mov)
I've also tried a bunch of other clips, (.wmv, .avi, etc) all kinds of different senarios with no luck.
I've also tried playing around with the settings, enabling and disabling the shadow files and nothing has helped. The program only lets me use 2 of the fix/enhance tools, and I'm trying to figure out if it's simply because of the trial. I would think it was my system but I've gotten the exact same results on three different completely different computers.
If you would like, I can take a screen video of my problem and post a link if that helps.

No need to get rustled up, but I appriciate your unhelpful comments.
Apparently you aren't reading my initial post, or you would realize it's a simple question. I've tried on 3 seperate computers with completely different setups so either there is an issue with the software or a huge incompatiblity issue (oh wait, that's also a software issue)...
So rather than throw useless comments at me, just help me out (since I've looked all over the forums and the website, and sent them a email to which they haven't responded)

Seriously, can someone help me? Cyberlink still hasn't respoded to my question I sent them, and I looked over the tiral features once again and still don't think the things I'm trying to do say they are for the full orgram only. I'm not going to buy the product unless I know it works...

Right, I read the list, and it doesn't seem like those features should be restricted unless I'm reading it wrong. Can someone please look into this further?

I am considering purchasing PowerDirector 8, so I downloaded and am using the trial version. While running the program, I cannot use many of the "fix/enhance" tools such as light adjustment or video denoise. Two of the effects do work however, (color correction and white balance). I need to know if this problem occuring because of a limitation in the trial version or if there is an issue with the software. (I have tried on 2 seperate computers with the same results)
