I had the retail boxed version of 8 ultra and updated online to 10 ultra.

No problems at all, version 10 works great.

Is there a way to change the length of the audio on chapter menus?

Under the "playback mode" of the create disc tab there is a setting for duration but this only seems to change how long the audio is for the top menu. I cant figure out how to change the audio length for any of the menus below the top one.

Yes, it's under the "create disc" section.
Near the bottom of the screen is "first play video". Whatever file you put in there will play before your menu.
