Same issue. ATI HD 4650, enabling stream support for TrueTheater HD doesn't affect quality or CPU usage.

I have ATI Catalyst 10.2 with the coresponding AVIVO codec support installed.

Before playing a Blu Ray disk I verified that hardware acceleration is checked in the video tab. Once I start playback and look at the video tab again, the hardware acceleration box is unchecked and greyed out so it cannot be changed. When the disk is stopped the acceleration box is checked again.

CPU utilization is at about 50%.

ATI HD3650 w/ Catalyst 9.12
Win7 32 bit clean install (not upgraded)
PowerDvd 9 @ patch 2320

Same system with WinXP MCE 2005 did NOT have this issue. Hardware acceleration remained checked and CPU utilization was always about 10%.

Any ideas?
