Hi again,

Here's an update. I have installed ffdshow and now PD7 is much more stable and I can import and edit AVI (H264) video files without it crashing. The software is running faster than before, but not as fast as when I import WMV files. Anyway thanks to you all!
I am using PowerDirector 7

My computer:
CPU: Intel Quad CPU Q9550
Memory: 4GB
Graphics cars: tried both GeForce 8800GTS and ATI Radeon HD 4870X2.

There was no difference when using the 2 video cards. I think it is some software issue. I have looked around, and will try installing ffdshow. It seems to solve a similar problem with Sony's Vegas video editing software. I will post an update with my findings.
In PD7 I can import AVI (264) files from my Creative Vado HD and it can play it. However, when I put it on the timeline and try to edit it, the software crashes. The editing process is also very slow with this file type. Does PD7 support AVI (H264)??
Hi everyone, I've tried all the suggestions and they all work very well. Thanks!

Roland
I'm new to PD7. I have downloaded the user manual but I cannot find out how I can enter a time code for the exact time that I want the PIP to start. At the moment I have to move the PIP by sliding it on the timeline. It is almost impossible sometimes to align with my video etc. I hope someone can help. Thanks!
