No. No antivirus loading updaters. I run my updates early in the morning.

I've played around many video editing programs over the past 10 years and sadly there's just some that don't make the grade. This looks like one of them.

I'm having the same problem. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And yes, I'm using Vista on a new computer with half a terrabyte of disk space and less than half full.

I actually did manage to burn one disk of a 14 minute mpg movie. But I wasted many disks before I got it to work. I could never get it to burn to a DVD folder. It said it did and went through all the right motions and messages but the folder remained blank. After many crashes and disk failures it finally did burn a DVD correctly.

I also received a copy of Power Director preinstalled on a HP computer with Vista.

I like what the program can do but it's just too flaky and unreliable to use. I'm thinking of just removing it. Not worth the time and trouble.

Any suggestions appreciated.

PS Just tried it again now. Consistently crashes the program when you click on the Create Disk tab.
