Well, I do grudge buying a new version of PD giving that the last one I bought and paid for stopped working properly with no satisfactory solution, however, I do like a lot of the new features of PD10 and there is now no audio sync problems despite it not even giving me the MP3 encoding option anymore.
What have Cyberlink got against that encoder?
I might consider registering PD10 but there are now two new problems, which would have to be resolved before my trial period runs out and before I paid a penny.
The first is that the picture is now badly interlacing. Any time anything moves on the screen there is very noticeable interlacing. Again, for editing software which costs over £60, that is really not acceptable.
The second is that I am now back to square one because, as once before, the picture quality is perfect on the capture and on the final produced video but, as soon as the video was posted to YouTube, severe pixelation occurred which is a problem I had previously resolved using my preferred DivX for video and MP3 for audio settings.
Also, not really acceptable.
Trouble is, I don't know whether to continue with this thread or now move to the PD10 part of the forum...
This all makes me very, very wary of Cyberlink software. There always seems to be some problem to resolve..
This is why, ideally, I'd really like to have the MP3 encoding problem on PD7 resolved which was, really, my original question. How do I get the Lame MP3 encoder, which worked with all my previous operating systems with PD7, to work with the 64-bit version of Windows 7?
Can anyone help please?

OK, giving it a go.
Odd, though.. I used PD7 before, with both 32-bit versions of Win XP and Vista with no problems but, due to an accident, I needed a new laptop.
This one, which came with Windows 7 Home (64-bit) and PD7 pre-installed.
It wasn't until I tried to encode my music videos (which is what I do and why truly perfect sync is so important) that I realized there was a problem.
Downloading PD10 Trial now to give it a try.

Well, I tried the K-lite Codec pack, both 32 and 64-bit versions, to no avail.
The bit-rate won't change and the audio doesn't work when I select MP3 as the audio codec.
I can't understand it..
I tried PCM again and, as before, the sound just wouldn't stay in sync for the duration of the video.

Audacity is audio only..
I already use Audacity for music.
Well, I've never managed to get PCM audio to stay in sync and don't have a WMA option.
I could try K-lite codec pack but I am now trying other software edit suite because I seem to have no end of problems with PD. Often what I view to be substandard for the price, like bad pixelation, sync problems or over compressed audio, other customers seem bizarrely happy with... :/
One example being the one-touch YouTube option which has always crashed on me. I was, more or less, told on this forum to, "never mind, just create a file and post that", which doesn't change the fact that the bought and paid for software doesn't do a job that it is advertised and being able to do.

Since getting a new laptop, which came with PD7 (the software I used on my previous Windows XP computer) and Windows 7 (64 Bit), I have not been able to get MP3 encoding to work.
After much searching and struggling I found a way to install the 32-bit version of Lame ACM on Win7 64-bit but it still does not work in PD7. (If there is a 64-Bit version of Lame ACM I can't find it anywhere...)
On producing videos using the MP3 codec the resulting videos are rendered silent.
This has been driving me crazy for ages. Over a year now!
I need to use MP3 audio encoding because it's the only way I can keep the audio and video in sync and get them to remain in sync once posted up to YouTube.
Can anyone help, please, before I have a stress related seizure?

Hi again.
I am still struggling with this problem.
In my last attempt I posted using the DiVX option to export from PowerProducer and, despite the original footage being of reasonably high sound quality and in stereo, once posted onto youtube the resulting export had poor, low bit rate audio and had converted to mono.
I still don't know how to use Super ©. The tutorial only explains how to set up the export. It doesn't explain anything about importing your PD6 production into Super © in the first place.
I am actually a professional musician, I use Cubase and am fairly knowledgeable about computers in general but this has got me stumped.
I really want to get posting to youtube.
Can anyone help please?
