You have to experiment a bit with the slide show plugin
https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/powerdirector/20/win/enu/06_07_00_creating_slideshows_i.html
In a number of templates, it IS possible to change the image order, the length, the cropping etc. Using templates will give some nice effects.
If you want full control, then you can use the (plain) video editor and set the images in the correct order, do the changes to lengths and use the Pan & zoom to get some movement of the images. That is a lot more work though.
Thank you for your detailed answer - I will try to do that (experiment with the templates).

Hi
I am not new to Powerdirector (have been using it for several years for editing video), but I used to make slideshows using ProShow, which is no longer avaiable and supported (the company closed their business).
In Proshow one could place images and vids on the time line, select a subset of items (arranged in a series of course, not separated) and use a wizard to produce a dynamic (or other kind of) slideshow out of the selected items.
I am trying to make a slideshow, which is a part of a greater video I am planning to produce (for my grandson's first BD).
I see that I can either invoke the slideshow creator, dump the images I want without - I think - any control on the order of the images) and make the show, or do it manually.
Is there any way to select a series of images (and some video clips embedded in that series) that I already placed on the time line and get make a slideshow out of it, synchronized with a music file I chose?
Thank you guys!
Regards
labadim
