Hi!

My DVD CDRW worked for about 3 months on my Gateway.

Suddenly, stopped recognizing any media at all. I cannot hear CD music or install from the drive. Windows recognizes the Optiarc drive but it is non-functional.

My OEM PowerDVD software CD cannot be accessed, either.

I submitted a query to Cyberlink after hounding Sony NEC for unavailable Optiarc drivers, etc. Also, MPC Corp filed bamkruptcy so my extended warranty is sacrificed.

I am working on my doctoral mgt & org leadership/IST dissertation and need my notebook's peripherals in good working order.
