For what I understand you want to do is:
From clip A take out a part in the middle (A2) and from clip B also a part somewhere (B2);
You like to see what the result of taking out A2 and B2 is, and if necessary redo a bit add or take of a few frames at the end of A1 and/or A3 and likewise B.
To do this is fairly easy. When you cut a clip, what PD does, is only remember where the cut has been made. It always eaves the original untouched and show, in the timeline, the result for after the cut.
So, make the cut at point A2 and A3. Then delete the piece between A2 and A3. You can decide to close the gap between A1 and A3. Look in preview what the result is. Should you need to change e.g. the end of A1 a bit do this: move A3 (and the rest of the clips behind A3) a bit. Then select clip A1 and move to the end of the clip until you see and marker with two arrows. This means that PD is ready to move the edge of the clip to make it shorter or longer, depending on what it is you need to do. PD can do this, because it still knows what is behind A1. What you do is change the marker that PD should remember as the cutout point. Once you are done, close the gap by moving all clips and look at the result. You can repeat this as many times as you need to.
If there are many clips behind A3, you can also decide to move the clips temporarily to and used piece in the timeline (e.g. at the end) and change the length of A1 and A3 until you are happy and then move them back to where you want them.
Hope that this makes sense. Also have a look at tutorials like this example (there are more):

At around 2:17 you see how you can shorten or lengthen the clip.
Let us know whether this helps (and whether I understood you questions properly).
Yes that should do it! I'll give a try tonight

I'm using PowerDirector 365 Version 20.4.2829.0(64-bit)
Not sure how to describe what I want to do but I would think it is possibl
Video of someone talking Point A1 A2 A3 And uhm B1 B2 B3 Rest of video
I think I want to make the cut at A2 and B2 but I would LOVE to be able to mark A2 and B2 and see what the resulting video with the parts between removed would look/sound like so I could decide no I want to make it A2 to B3.
Does that make any sense?
Work around is that I put a Split the video at A2, Split the video at B2, remove the section between and then play it, but if there is a bad jump and I want to re adjust I have to undo, undo, undo split the video at B3, remove the section and play it.
I would like to mark beginning of remove and end of remove and then preview and then be able to do slight adjustments to my begin and or end marks.
Thanks.
Star (My husband says uhm to much and it makes editing harder)
