Because Cyberlink has recently ended their contract with NewBlueFX, you should not uninstall PD16 if you want to use any of their components. It's always been ok to leave older versions of PD installed when updating to a newer version, but now there there's a clear reason to keep them.
See this discussion for more info.
Thank you very much for your clear reply and - in the meantime - I installed already PD19 without problems on the same drive. However, when extracting the Content Packs 1 to 5, the program says that these are already found on my system, asking to DELETE them before install !??
I guess these are the ones who came with PD16 and therefore, I canceled that installation.
I'm not that specialist here and do not know if these Content Packs are NewBlueFX products. So I wonder if there's a way to install the new ones and still keep the PD16 ones ?
I appreciate greatly your assistance with thanks in advance.

Hallo, since 2015 I'm a satisfied user of PD16. Today I bought PD20 Ultra and I wonder if it is necessary (or preferable) to remove entirely the 'old' 16-version first, or can I simply install - on the same drive - PD20 without effects whatever ?
Thanks for any tip or reply - enjoy the weekend.
