I'd like to make PiP images move to follow characters in my video. To do this I need to locate the PiP image where I want it at different points in the timeline. Obviously, this is what the PiP motion designer is for.
However, if the pause button is clicked while playing the scene, all the keyframe controls are deactivated so I can't set or move a reference keyframe. If the stop button is clicked the controls remain active, but the location slider "rewinds". (I've used a pencil against the screen to remember where the slider was, but besides being awkward, it's not that accurate and leaves pencil marks. In one clip, it ended up looking like my dog had grown a mustache.)
I'd like to see one (or both) of the following:
1) Best: Leave the keyframe controls active on pause.
2) Usable: Don't reset the time locus slider on stop (which would require a "rewind" button to be added - seems unnecessary.)
By the way, being new here, I'm unsure where requests for enhancements and bug reports should go.

Add my vote for this feature. As it is, I have to produce an AVI file which I then import into *the other* video editor so I can do the menu the way I want.
Not a rant, just a vote for the feature.
