I figured out how to somehow mitigate this issue.
When I create green screen effect from movie then go to:
Regional adjustment tool-> Curve-> and choose left/down dot of green color and move up to maximum.
Then color replacement works and you can change backround color from green to whatever you want

New to Power Director and Color Director.

I have followed the tutorial that shows how to make one of those "confused Travolta" vids, as an exercise.

All good in the first few steps, but when I try to change the black background to green screen, I can't get the green.

In Color Replacement panel, while the background is succesfully changed to black, clicking on the New Color button (to choose green) defaults to white. (with some small areas of other colors).

Probably missing something simple here but any advice and help would be appreciated.
