It's solved.

What I did:
1. Uninstalled K-Lite codec pack
2. Uninstalled PowerDVD 8 Ultra
3. Innstalled PowerDVD 8 Ultra
PowerDVD (previous versions) » PowerDVD 7 still cant play AVI » Go to message
I contacted support with the same issue, and got a standard answer about resolution and drivers, but still no go hmm...???

you are not alone, divx works fine in Windows Mediaplayer, but in powerdvd 8 Ultra edition it's only sound and screensaver
