Your "example" appears to have no issue in my version of PD20, 2506. Try a new project and do the same with one of the sample mp4's, does the issue repeat? My guess, the issue may be related to source video specifics. If sample mp4's work fine, you might try converting your source footage to a common format, especially if it has highly variable frame rates, as a workaround.
Jeff
I Jeff, just wanted to provide an update.
It seems my source video, no matter how I encode it, is the issue.
However, whenever I use stock footage, I'm able to seemingly adjust keyframs in any manner I choose.
I collected my source footage by using the Cyberlink Screen Recorder (v2.1.0.7615) at 720p 24fps, 25fps, 30fps & 60fps
as well as 1080P with the same framerates, everytime with the same issue.
I have also tried to encode it to .mkv, same issue.
So, i'll have to figure out how to grab different source footage.
This is a little frustrating as you could imagine, however... despite my frustration and earlier comment for switching platforms, this doens't seem to be an issue with the application and alas, my own issues.
Thanks for taking the time to help out, it's appreciated and has pointed my in a direction which should solve my problem.
Tim

Thanks for the quick reply Jeff, I never considered that.
A quick test with stock footage seems to behave better. I will test with different source footage and let you know.
I'll need to capture/convert it first...

I have been trying for days now to edit keyframes for cropped video's in my project.
I have keyframs set for opacity, scale and position.
It doesn't seem to matter if I add them one at a time (saving project in between each keyframe set) or, adding them all at once.
Example:
If you set a keyfram on a video clip, start point Height:0 Width:0, then advance the timeline to your desired point and set another keyfram to Height:"value" Width:"value" and play the project to test, often it will work.
But, when you then try to drag the keyframe to another position for fine tuning, and attempt to play again, the program crashes for me.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, do you have a workaround/fix I could try?
I have tried to modify keyframe settings in the Keyframe editor as well as PiP deisgner. both with similair outcomes.
i'm becomming so frustrated with this that I am on the brink of switching platforms after being a PD user for a few years now.
Please help.
and thanks for taking the time!
