Use images with traces and transparent background.
If you are good at drawing by hand, use Pip Designer to create the lines

Thanks for your help. I just figured it out. The Wipe transition I was using had a blurred edge. I finally found the "Wipe" without the blurred edge and that resolved the problem.

Thanks,
Joel

Thanks AVTrace,

The map I am using takes up the entire frame so no background to make transparant (unless I am missing your point). Not sure how to use traces for this. Seems like I should not have a grey blur though. Do you know of another transition that does not have this "greyness"? I will try Pip Designer, but I prefer a nice crisp, perfect line.

Hi,

Thanks for reading. I am trying to show a moving line on a map.

I thought the easiest way to do that would be to have to pictures of the same map, put the line on the overlay picture and transition it in with a wipe from left to right.

It works great accept for the wipe is not really transparent, there is a grey vertical blur that moves with the transition's wipe.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? I searched the forum and cannot find anyone trying this.

Thanks,

Joel
