Yes I used the auto align feature, I'm merely using text as menu links and still it gives me the same error. I'm weary of trying to make this work; I'd like to work with someone who understands how to fix this issue.

It depends a bit what goes wrong. You say the burning? If the actual production of the DVD goes right, you may want to decide to create the DVD and not burn it and use separate DVD burning software to make the DVD?
If the DVD creation process goes wrong, then the focus is perhaps on the correct settings for the creation? Have you selected 2D disk (Which I guess you want), and within that DVD with either 4.7GB or 8.5GB. Have you looked at the video and audio settings? Are they correct? The selection for NTCS or PAL (in the preferences). Etc.
And … since I don’t know what precisely goes wrong, did you try the preview to see whether it works?
I agree with you that before you know it, see all parameters, you need to know a bit more to get them doing what you want.
Yes, my first issue is getting the production right. Everything is done but I'm struggling to get the menu the way I want it. There are so many idiosyncracies to get it to work properly in PowerDirector that I sent it to a DVD burner company who provided a menu that works on a DVD player but not on a computer.
I'm back trying to fix the PowerDirector menu but I keep running into spacing issues that prevent the menu from working properly if they aren't perfect spacing. What are my options?

The more I do this the more I realize how much I don't know. Anyway, I'm trying to produce a DVD and when I burn the DVD from powerdirector, it never turns out very well. Maybe I don't have the right equipment to adequately make a master. Any suggestions?
