Add the background processes CLMSServerPDVD17.exe and PowerDVD17Agent.exe to firewall exclusion while PC uses ethernet.

I did : Didn't work.

I came to think though, why would it change anything? I mean : I use windows' firewall. If windows was blocking the app on ethernet, why wouldn't it block it on WiFi also?
Multi casting is enabled and my computer is receiving its IP adress from the DHCP. Though I might need to test this : The DHCP has a reserved adress for the computer.

EDIT : I removed the reserved IP for the computer but it still does not work.
I've been trying to make this app work for a while now and the only way I could make it work is by connecting a USB WiFi adapter and unplugging my ethernet cable from my router. The app can then see the PowerDVD Server and works perfectly with it.

The problem is : I don't want my tower to be connected on my network via WiFi! I need that adapter elsewhere and I don't want to compromise my connection speed just to make that application work! So I need to find a way to make the server work just like it does when the computer is connected via WiFi.

Can anyone help me (and probably several other users) sort this problem once and for all?
