OK. Got that bonus pack exe installed ok. You were spot on, it was various templates.

Done a bit more digging, and although I still have not got any more info on the differences between these 2 versions, it seems that the OEM PD14de, in combination with windows 10, has caused various issues for a few people. Having scrolled down these threads and ended up looking at various op sys recovery advise, I;m now thinking of holdng off trying 14 for a while.

It's a pity I can't have both on at the same time to check and compare, but having glanced at the installation, that would require far too much time.

As always, any info is always appreciated

Quote Free update to Power Director 14 OEM? I'd take it just to see what it will do!

You didn't tell us what PD 12 OEM doesn't do that you need to do. Perhaps none of the versions will have the capabilities. Would you like to tell us?

You can download the trial version of the latest software to see the capabilities. It also has restrictions.

You can also buy the full version and return it if it doesn't meet your needs.

Re: Bonus Pack. -- It varies but it would likely contain templates for menus. You could explors the Bonus Pack download and see what the categories are included. If you upgrade then the bonuses may not be applicable..

Ah, it wasn't that it failed to do what I wanted. Just a little enhancment of a dark vid, taken from my phone. It was a ginger badger that wandered into my garden. It got alot of interest, so I produced various versions to suit. There were no problems.

I guess you could say, I'm a bit of a tech geek, and just want to know the full specs of the software. I though the info would be easy to get hold of, but I was mistaken.

I did wonder why I was offered the PD 14 download, and on info gathered so far, it might be because the notebook was bought new in 2016. They did seem a little surprised it had PD 12 on, when I mentioned that.

I think I'll have to take the offer up, just to see the difference between these OEM versions. Still wouldn't mind knowing what that bonus pack is about. It seems genuine, and signed by Cyberlink
Quote Hi,

As I understand it, OEM versions are generally subject to restrictions, based on the requirements of the particular manufacturer. I'm not sure that there are any published feature lists for OEM versions.

The standard PDR12 features are here:

Perhaps other members might have some experience of their own that might help?

Thanks for getting back to me.

I've tried HP cust care, and they have no knowledge about it. They offered me a dowmload link for PD14. But, again, it's an OEM version, and they have no knowledge about that either.

Hi guys

I'm pretty new to using Powerdirector 12, or any editing software that goes beyond conversion for DNLA streaming compatability.

I wonder if anyone can tell me what restrictions the 12.0.4.4301 version has, compared to the base retail package. As this is a OEM version on an HP Pavillion, I'm sure there must be several.

Also, I have a Cyberlink Special Bonus Pack, ready to install (SpecialBonusPack_Need%20RD%20provide%20modification_CDP161111-01_Normal.exe) Does anyone know what this is, or what it alters or adds?

Cheers
